In the semiconductor industry the time-to-market is crucial, therefore the
compact model must be fast, however this speed can not decrease the accuracy. Table below presents a comparison of the simulation time for several compact models.

Although the EKV presents the best speed performance, Table above shows
that the ACM model presents in general better speed performance than the
surface-based (MM11, PSP, HiSIM) models.
